Lake renovation

A large natural clay lined lake that needed complete renovation.

This lake had a very large silt build up that basically made the pond inhabitable to fish and many types of plants. The banks had erroded and caused the water level to drop. A later addition of a moat also worsened the loss of water as the walls of brick were leaking. A large Pine tree also overhung the lake and constantly dropping needles and debris into the water.

The client asked us to look at this project and work out a solution that would bring the lake back to life in a sympathetic and sustainable way.

A plan was needed that would deal with all the problems together.
